Expectations for Eternals are even greater now that Academy Award-winning director Chloe Zhao is at the helm. Zhao discussed her first Marvel film in a recent interview with Fandango, teasing what will be unique about it. If the trailers weren’t enough to spark your curiosity, Zhao revealed some other critical elements about the film. It would definitely pique fans’ interest even more. The director talked about one of Marvel’s main components in her film, the post-credit scenes, and affirmed that Eternals will have two post-credit scenes.
Eternals has two post-credit scenes and big surprises
While describing what they will be without giving anything away, Choe told Fandango, “Yes! Don’t just stay for the first one — also stay for the second one, too. They are equally as important in weight, and both have big surprises for you.”
The director also revealed the run time for Eternals in the same interview. It could end up being one of Marvel’s longest films, with a two-and-a-half-hour running time. Zhao defended the running time. Thereby, claiming that the film had a lot to cover with ten main characters and a backstory on celestials dating back 7000 years.
Following Marvel’s CEO Kevin Feige’s tease that Eternals will have a significant impact on the Marvel world, filmmaker Zhao has hinted that the film’s history and origins story may affect moviegoers’ perceptions of the cosmos as she highlighted the film’s significance.
Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Gemma Chan, Salma Hayek, Kumail Nanjiani, Kit Harington, and others will star in the picture. It will be released on November 5, 2021.
