Heartwarming note sent by Duchess after hearing about podcast project
Meghan Markle has reached out to her former Suits co-star Patrick J. Adams after years of little to no contact. The two actors, who played on-screen couple Mike Ross and Rachel Zane on the popular legal drama Suits, were once close but had lost touch following Meghan’s move into royal life. However, Adams recently revealed that Meghan sent him a heartfelt message of support after learning about his new podcast project.
A note of encouragement after years apart
Responding to fans’ questions on Reddit, Adams shared that while they haven’t been in touch recently, Meghan’s kind words made an impact. “We are not really in touch,” he admitted, explaining that Meghan now leads “a very different life.” Despite this, Adams said he received a “lovely text” from Meghan after she heard about his podcast, Sidebar, which he co-hosts with fellow Suits star Sarah Rafferty.
“[She said] how excited she was for us and asking how she could help in any way. So lovely to still have that kind of support and friendship after so many years apart,” Adams said in his Reddit post, reflecting on their past connection and Meghan’s enduring kindness.
Adams and Rafferty’s podcast brings Suits back to life
Adams’ podcast, Sidebar, offers a unique behind-the-scenes look at Suits. He and Rafferty, who played Donna Paulson, recap episodes, interview cast members, and share personal experiences from the set. Interestingly, both actors revealed that despite starring in the show, they are now watching Suits for the first time themselves, which has reignited interest in the series.
The podcast has received overwhelming support from former cast members and directors, with Rafferty stating in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, “Everybody’s invited,” hinting that there’s potential for even Meghan to join them on the podcast.
With Suits experiencing a resurgence in popularity, particularly on streaming platforms, fans are eager to see if the Duchess of Sussex might make a guest appearance in the future.
