Rapper Cardi B claims she spends about $3 million a month

Rapper addresses speculation with bold statements about her earnings and potential tour deals

Grammy-winning artist Cardi B has directly confronted rumors about her financial stability, making bold claims about her monthly expenditures and potential earnings in a series of social media posts that have garnered widespread attention.

Defending her financial position

In a voice recording shared on X (formerly Twitter), the 32-year-old rapper responded to criticism about her partnership with fast fashion brand Shein. “I want to let y’all know I could wake up tomorrow, sign a contract, and have half of $65 million—or half of $70 million—in my bank,” Cardi B stated emphatically.

The artist made headlines by declaring that she spends “about $3 million in a month,” directly challenging perceptions about her financial situation. This claim came in response to followers questioning her motivation for working with more affordable brands.

Potential tour deal revealed

Cardi B shared a screenshot of a text message detailing a potential tour deal from September. The alleged contract suggested:

  • $1 million per show
  • Total tour value of $65 million
  • Half the money paid upfront upon signing

The rapper demonstrated strategic thinking about her career, stating she doesn’t want to sign tour deals until after announcing her next album. “You have to move smart. You can’t act hungry when you’re not,” she explained.

Fans have been waiting for her sophomore release since her 2018 debut album, Invasion of Privacy. Cardi B teased the upcoming album in October, promising it would be “amazing and unique.”

Context of her claims

The financial revelations come during what she describes as her “off year,” suggesting even her downtime generates significant income potential.

Cardi B’s candidness about her finances provides a rare glimpse into the earning potential of top-tier music artists, challenging assumptions about celebrity income and brand partnerships.

Beyond the monetary claims, the artist’s statements reflect a broader narrative of financial empowerment and strategic career management in the music industry.
