Canadian actor, 22, dies after undergoing twelve surgeries to look like BTS star Jimin

On Sunday morning (April 23), Canadian actor Saint Von Colucci, who had more than a dozen plastic procedures to make him look like the well-known K-pop star Jimin, passed away in a hospital in South Korea. He encountered difficulties with the cosmetic operations he underwent a few months earlier. He was just 22 years old.

In an interview with DailyMail on Monday, his publicist, Eric Blake, said that he spent more than $220,000 on 12 plastic surgeries in order to portray the K-pop singer for a US streaming network. He underwent surgery on Saturday night to have the jaw implants removed that he got in November.

The actor needed to be intubated after the dangerous operation, which he allegedly knew about beforehand. Later, he passed away.

Saint Von Colucci relocated from Canada to South Korea in 2019

Blake further revealed to the publication that Von Colucci relocated from Canada to South Korea in 2019 in order to work in the music business. One of the three major South Korean entertainment businesses employed him as a trainee.

“It’s very tragic and very unfortunate,” says Blake, who started working with the young actor in March 2022. “He was very insecure about his looks. He had a very square jawline and chin and he didn’t like the shape of it because he thought it was too wide and wanted a V-shape, the shape many Asians have.”

He had extensive jaw surgery last year, and his spokesperson claims that he was aware of the risks.

According to Blake, the young actor found it extremely difficult to land jobs in South Korea and frequently experienced discrimination as a result of his appearance. He opted to drastically alter his look and have dangerous operations as a result of pressure.

From June to December of last year, Von Colucci shot an eight-episode Korean drama series called Pretty Lies, which is known in its native country as Cogimar. He portrayed an overseas student who was one of the main protagonists. While the majority of the show’s specifics are currently kept under wraps, it is anticipated to premiere in October on a significant US streaming network.
