The ongoing actor and writer strikes have had a significant impact on the American entertainment industry. Beyond the Spider-Verse was supposed to be released in theaters in the spring of 2024. But they may have to wait a little longer now. The film was supposed to be released on March 29, 2024, however, it has since been canceled. Kraven the Hunter was scheduled to be released in theaters on October 6, 2023. However, it has also been removed from the release timetable.
What exactly is Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse about?
Beyond the Spider-Verse is set to put Miles Morales’ narrative to a close. After the events of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore, finds himself in the wrong universe. Because he was not bitten by the radioactive spider in this version, his alt-universe counterpart never became Spider-Man and instead became the Prowler, a supervillain.
Gwen Stacy (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) and several other Spider-People get together to rescue Miles from this alternate dimension version and safeguard him from the threat posed by Oscar Isaac’s character, Miguel O’Hara. Miguel is still trying to stop Miles from saving his father and facing the same destiny as other Spider-People. Adding to the peril, the villainous Spot (voiced by Jason Schwartzman) poses a significant threat to the entire multiverse.
What exactly is the story of Kraven the Hunter?
Kraven the Hunter, starring English actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the title character, explores the beginnings of Sergei Kravinoff, a popular Marvel supervillain with a new take on the character from the comics. The film looks into Kraven’s origins and path to becoming the fearsome villain known to fans.
Kraven, Spider-Man’s classic foe, is a skilled big-game hunter with superhuman strength, speed, agility, and senses. His passion for tracking down the most dangerous and elusive prey, including Spider-Man, has made him a formidable foe in the Marvel Comics universe.
The film, written by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk, promises to be exhilarating and blood-pumping as it depicts Kraven’s turbulent history and how an encounter with a lion in Africa grants him mysterious powers. Russell Crowe portrays Sergei’s father, a significant figure in Kraven’s transformation into the notorious villain.
