Hearing Loss is defined as the inability to hear sounds that are above a certain level. This can range from mild to severe. There are many different types of hearing loss including conductive, sensorineural, central auditory processing disorder, also known as CAPD, and mixed.

Conductive hearing loss occurs when sound waves cannot pass through the outer ear canal, middle ear, or inner ear. Sensorineural hearing loss occurs when there is damage to the hair cells in the cochlea, which are responsible for converting sound into nerve signals.

Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) is a condition where the brain does not receive proper information about the environment. Mixed hearing loss is caused by both conductive and sensorineural hearing loss.

Now, there are multiple reasons that can cause either of these hearing losses, such as:

Noise

Noise can cause hearing loss if exposure is long enough. Noise exposure may occur at work, at home, at school, or during leisure activities. Noise exposure has been linked to hearing loss both in adults and children. This could be due to exposure to excessive noise from construction sites, heavy machinery, or other sources. However, if you are exposed to constant noise at work or home, this can lead to permanent hearing loss.

Loud Music

Music has been used throughout history to create a sense of happiness and relaxation. However, listening to music too loudly can cause hearing loss. When you listen to music through headphones, you are putting yourself at risk of hearing loss.

Alcohol

Alcohol consumption can result in hearing loss. You should avoid consuming alcohol if you want to protect your hearing.

Age

The risk of developing hearing loss increases with age. As we get older, our ability to hear decreases. (tacosymas.com) This is due to changes in the ear that are caused by aging. Loss of hearing is usually caused by damage to the inner ear, but can also be due to other factors like age, illness, trauma, or medications.

Genetics

Hearing loss can run in families. If your parents have hearing loss, you have a greater chance of having hearing loss too.

Hearing loss may not always be noticeable at first. Some people are completely unaware that they have lost their hearing until someone tells them. This is especially true if they have been wearing hearing aids.

There are many different types of hearing loss. Some are temporary while others are permanent. If you notice any changes in your hearing, it’s best to consult your doctor right away. You should know that there are several ways to treat hearing loss. One way is through medication.

We have mentioned below a couple of symptoms of hearing loss that you can keep in mind and identify the signs of whether you are suffering from hearing loss.

Tinnitus

Tinnitus is a common symptom of hearing loss. This condition can occur due to many different causes including earwax build-up, wax buildup in the middle ear, fluid accumulation in the inner ear, or damage to the nerve that transmits sound from
