Ivanka Trump, daughter of President-elect Donald Trump and wife of businessman Jared Kushner, has opened up about her fitness routine and diet. As the incoming first daughter, the 43-year-old is admired for her impressive physique and shared the journey behind her disciplined lifestyle.
From indulgence to discipline
Ivanka admitted that her twenties were characterized by a love for carbs, often indulging in pasta and pizza three times a day. However, her outlook on health took a significant turn after becoming a mother.
“After having kids, I realized the importance of taking care of my body—not just for me but for them too,” she shared.
Fitness evolution
Initially, Ivanka’s workout routine included yoga, cardio, and Pilates, but she didn’t see the results she hoped for. It wasn’t until she shifted her focus to weightlifting and resistance training that she noticed a transformation.
“It’s that pairing of protein with resistance training and weight lifting,” Ivanka explained on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast.
“I wasn’t consuming nearly enough protein at first, and that was a game-changer when I made the adjustment.”
Daily habits
- Exercise: Ivanka trains four days a week, focusing on strength-building exercises.
- Diet: She ensures every meal contains 30–40 grams of protein.
- Morning Routine: Wakes up at 5:30 AM, practices daily meditation, and drinks what she describes as “excessive” amounts of water.
Balanced indulgence
Despite her disciplined approach, Ivanka allows herself to enjoy her favorite comfort foods occasionally. “I love stews, sausage, noodles, and anything with melted cheese,” she said.
Ivanka’s transformation and commitment to her health offer insight into the balance of discipline and indulgence. Her focus on protein-rich meals and resistance training highlights the importance of adapting fitness strategies to achieve lasting results.
