One of the most intriguing parts of high-profile divorces is the money split. Bill and Melinda Gates’s recent divorce announcement sparked a conversation on how they will divide their fortune. The second richest man in the world divorced his first wife, Justine Musk, after eight years of their marriage. The couple had six children and share their joint custody and, Elon Musk takes up the bill for their nannies’ payrolls. He also sends his ex-wife about $20,000 every month for clothes and other discretionary items. She also got their Bel Air family home.

The Tesla billionaire went through another divorce from his actress wife Talulah Riley. Riley reportedly walked away from their first divorce in 2012 with $4.2 million. The couple reconciled and wed in 2013 but divorced again in 2015. This time around, their split cost Elon Musk an additional $16 million.

The Amazon founder and his wife MacKenzie Scott split after 15 long years of marriage. Without a prenup in place, Scott could have claimed more than the 16 percent stake they shared. But, she did not claim them to make sure that Bezos’s control over the company stays undiluted. She left with 20 million shares valued at $35 billion in 2019.

This famous couple announced their split very recently and, it is unclear how they plan on distributing their $130 billion worth of investments. Additionally, their 20,000 square feet family home is worth $60 million. Bill Gates also holds about 1.3 percent of Microsoft, worth over $100 million. Most of their assets are in their foundation, the gates foundation that they co-founded.

Jocelyn ‘Catwoman’ Wildenstein had the priciest divorce settlement in history when she split from her billionaire art dealer spouse. Their breakup turned south for Alec Wildenstein when he was caught with another woman by his wife. Catwoman walked away with a $2.5 billion settlement.
