'Time Traveler from 2118' Claims Commercial Time Travel Will Arrive by 2028: Here's What He Says

A man claiming to be a time traveler from the year 2118 has resurfaced online with extraordinary predictions about humanity’s future, including the arrival of commercial time travel, contact with extraterrestrial life and a global conflict involving the United States, North Korea and Russia.

The individual, who identifies himself as Alexander Smith, made the claims during an appearance on the YouTube conspiracy channel ApexTV while wearing a latex mask to conceal his identity. However, there is no credible evidence to support his claims, and they remain entirely unverified.

Who is the self-proclaimed time traveller?

Smith claims he was sent to the year 2118 by the CIA during a secret experiment conducted in the 1980s.

According to him, he returned to the present to reveal technologies and events that governments have allegedly kept hidden from the public.

“The world as we know it will change a lot, and I feel it is beneficial to humanity to know not only about this change but also about the secret technologies being withheld from the public,” he said.

He also claimed that everyone “deserves to know the truth” about what he allegedly witnessed in the future.

What does he predict about the future?

Smith paints a picture of a technologically advanced society where artificial intelligence plays a central role in everyday life.

According to his claims, people in 2118 live in towering smart cities filled with flying vehicles and AI-powered systems that automate many aspects of daily life.

Among his most eye-catching predictions are:

  • Commercial time travel becoming available as early as 2028.
  • The US government publicly confirming the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life in 2028.
  • Major advances in artificial intelligence and transportation technology.

None of these claims have been supported by scientific evidence or official government announcements.

His prediction of a future world war

Smith also describes a future conflict that he characterizes as World War III.

He claims tensions begin with a dispute between the United States and North Korea before Russia joins North Korea’s side. According to his account, the conflict escalates until missiles are launched.

He does not specify where the attacks occur but says the devastating war ultimately changes humanity’s outlook.

According to Smith, the aftermath of the conflict encourages global unity, with nations placing greater value on peace and cooperation.

Can commercial time travel really happen?

Despite Smith’s assertions, there is currently no scientific evidence that commercial time travel is possible.

Modern physics does explore concepts related to time, particularly through Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity, where time can pass at different rates under extreme speeds or gravitational conditions. However, this differs significantly from the popular notion of traveling backward or forward through time at will.

Scientists continue to study theoretical ideas such as wormholes and spacetime geometry, but these remain speculative and far from practical application.

Why do time traveler stories go viral?

Claims of time travelers regularly gain attention on social media because they combine mystery, science fiction and predictions about the future.

Many such stories feature dramatic forecasts involving major world events, technological breakthroughs or alien life. However, virtually all widely publicized “time traveler” claims have lacked verifiable evidence.

Without independent proof, photographs that can be authenticated or scientific validation, these stories are generally regarded as entertainment or internet folklore rather than factual accounts.
