Mumbai: Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, is officially engaged to Saaniya Chandok in an intimate family-and-close-friends-only ceremony, according to multiple media reports. The 25-year-old cricketer tied the knot with the Mumbai-based entrepreneur earlier this week, with no official statement yet from either family.
Who is Saaniya Chandok?
Saaniya Chandok serves as Designated Partner and Director at Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP, a pet nutrition and welfare brand she is also credited with founding. An Instagram post from the company notes that she is an alumna of the London School of Economics and holds a veterinary technician diploma from the Worldwide Veterinary Service (2024).
She is the granddaughter of Ravi Ghai, chairman of the Graviss Group, a hospitality and F&B conglomerate best known for Kwality ice cream, Brooklyn Creamery, and Mumbai’s luxury InterContinental Hotel on Marine Drive. The Ghai family, whose patriarch I.K. Ghai established several of these ventures, recently made headlines over a reported ownership dispute involving the hotel.
Close Ties With Sara Tendulkar
Saaniya appears to share a close friendship with Arjun’s sister, Sara Tendulkar. Eagle-eyed social media users have spotted them together in Jaipur earlier this year and at Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in recent seasons.
Low-Key Celebration
Reflecting their privacy preference, the couple’s engagement celebration was reportedly limited to immediate family and a handful of friends. No official photos or statements have been released.
Meanwhile, Arjun Tendulkar continues to focus on his cricket career. A left-arm seamer, he represents Goa in domestic cricket and has played for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, featuring in five matches over the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
