Watch: Robots take part in UN discussion on AI in healthcare

Robots participated in a UN discussion on the potential for healthcare applications of artificial intelligence. Speakers at the 2023 AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva event “Robots that assist and care: developing socially intelligent robots for good” addressed and illustrated how robotics might be utilized for socially assistive roles including recovery and wellness.

The panel also looked at how robot dogs can be used for comfort and assistance

The importance of community acceptability, policy, and ethics were also discussed.

Ben Goertzel, CEO and Founder of SingularityNET, Maja Matari, Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Southern California, Will Jackson, CEO and Founder of Engineered Arts, Brendan Schulman, Vice President of Policy and Government Relations for Boston Dynamics, and Cindy L Bethel, Professor and Director of the Social, Therapeutic, and Robotic Systems Lab at Mississippi State University were among the speakers.

She is already well-known. She has been featured on famous television shows such as The Tonight Show and Good Morning Britain in addition to her work as UNDP Innovation Ambassador. She has also spoken at hundreds of conferences worldwide, including the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
