Intelligence forces in the US released a detailed report confirming over 140 UFO sightings. UFOs, reportedly moving through restricted military areas over the last few decades.

All about the intelligence report on UFO sightings

On Friday, the US intelligence department released a much-awaited report on a series of UFO sightings spanning over the last few decades. Moreover, this is the first time that the US government has acknowledges sightings of unidentified flying objects. The report pertains to 144 reports of UFOs or unidentified aerial phenomenons. However, the report mentions no evidence of extraterrestrial life or technological advancement by countries like China and Russia.

“Of the 144 reports we are dealing with here, we have no clear indications that there is any non-terrestrial explanation for them. But, we will go wherever the data takes us,” reported a senior official. “We absolutely do believe what we’re seeing are not simply sensor artifacts. These are things that physically exist,” he added. The report also notes that 80 of these incidents include data from more than one sensor. It nullifies the claim that it was a one-off or delusional episode.

Is the US govt finally taking it seriously?

Interestingly, the government has finally taken these ‘fringe issues’ seriously. Additionally, military and intelligence personnel along with lawmakers are working on it to find the reason behind it. “For years, the men and women we trust to defend our country reported encounters with unidentified aircraft that had superior capabilities, and for years their concerns were often ignored and ridiculed,” stated the Republican Senator Marco Rubio of Florida. He is also the vice-chair for the Senate Intelligence Committee. “This report is an important first step in cataloging these incidents, but it is just a first step. The Defense Department and Intelligence Community have a lot of work to do before we can actually understand whether these aerial threats present a serious national security concern,” he added.

Most of these incidents were reported by US Navy Pilots. However, some reports were from other government sources and, there is a reporting bias present. However, the report raises several questions as it lacks further explanations and leaves several loopholes.
