A new investigation suggests that Katerina Tikhonova, one of Putin’s officially recognized daughters is living a secret life of luxury with a ballet star named Zelensky. Here’s the full story.
Katerina Tikhonova is in a relationship with ‘Zelensky’
A joint investigation by Der Spiegel, a popular German magazine, and iStories, an independent Russian media outlet reveals more about one of Putin’s daughters. According to the reports Katerina (or Ekaterina), Tikhonova is a 35-year-old living in Germany. She is a former professional dancer and is currently living in secret with a man named Igor Zelensky. The 52-year-old man shares his surname with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Putin’s current nemesis. Putin’s personal life has always been a secret to public eyes but, Russia’s recent aggression against Ukraine is bringing them on the radar.
Additionally, the investigation leaked Katerina’s flight details. According to it, Katerina flew over 50 times between Moscow and Munich between 2017 and 2019. She was always accompanied by Russian Secret Service guards. However, regular travel was restricted in recent times as she was facing the sanctions by the West. Recently, the Russian President openly slammed pro-western Russia. Saying that their mentality is there [West], not here [Russia], with our people” and even labeled them as “scum and traitors”.

Igor Zelensky is the former director of the Munich state ballet and a leading professional ballet dancer. According to reports, He stepped down from his role on 4 April citing “private family reasons”, having also failed to react to calls to condemn Putin’s war of aggression in Ukraine”. “Leading a ballet troupe requires absolute concentration and efficiency. At present, however, personal, and family matters require my full attention and time, which is incompatible with my activities as a ballet director in Munich. Now my family needs my support,” he said while resigning.
According to the joint investigation, Katerina Tikhonova has a two-year-old daughter. However, the report did not mention her daughter’s name or other details. Journalists could not find their whereabouts. But, when they visited Zelensky’s address in Munich, they found Yana Serebriakova, his ex-wife and a former ballet dancer.
