Austin Drummond, the 28-year-old suspect at the center of a chilling quadruple murder investigation in Tennessee, lived what appeared to be a shockingly comfortable life inside prison, complete with access to alcohol, smartphones, video games, and streaming services. Photos posted to Drummond’s public Facebook account during his incarceration paint a troubling picture of lax prison enforcement just months before his alleged crime spree.
Who Is Austin Drummond?
Drummond is wanted in connection with the deaths of James M. Wilson, 21, Adrianna Williams, 20, Cortney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, 15. All four victims were discovered dead on July 29 in Dyer County, Tennessee. A surviving infant—believed to be related to all four victims—was found abandoned on the front lawn of a nearby residence.
According to the Dyer County Police Department, Drummond is wanted on multiple charges, including:
- Four counts of first-degree murder
- Kidnapping
- Four counts of felon in possession of a firearm
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) confirmed his vehicle was recently located in Jackson, Tennessee, but Drummond remains at large.

While Drummond was serving a 13-year sentence for aggravated robbery and retaliation at a Tennessee state prison, he frequently posted updates to Facebook—raising serious concerns about contraband and internal corruption.
Among the items Drummond showcased:

- At least one mobile phone
- A pantry filled with snacks
- A bottle of Ciroc vodka
In a post dated November 18, 2023, Drummond posed with the vodka, captioning the photo: “Ciroc….. almost home living it up till I get there.”
Drummond was released from prison on September 1, 2024.
Former NYPD Detective: “A Failure of Oversight”
Security expert and former NYPD detective Pat Brosnan said the photos indicate a complete breakdown in prison oversight.
“There was a measure of irresponsibility, neglect, and probably some recklessness,” Brosnan told Fox News Digital. “These types of facilities are supposed to conduct routine cell inspections or ‘shakedowns’ to ensure no drugs or contraband get in. That clearly didn’t happen here.”
Brosnan added it’s “absolutely” possible Drummond had help from inside the prison system. Drummond had four previous charges related to bringing contraband into a correctional facility.
Released Despite New Attempted Murder Charge
Even more troubling, Drummond was out on bond at the time of the quadruple killings—despite facing a 2024 attempted murder charge. Officials have confirmed that the charge stemmed from an incident that occurred while he was still incarcerated.
How Drummond managed to be released while under investigation for such a serious offense—and despite a known history of smuggling contraband—is now under serious scrutiny.
