Just weeks before the announcement, Tenney, who was re-elected in November 2024 in a different constituency than the one she previously represented, revealed that her district offices in Watertown, Lockport, Canandaigua, and Oswego, in upper New York state along the Canadian border, were forced to close due to a series of violent threats made against her staff, according to Spectrum News1.
