“How are you doing? How’s the ride?” O’Donnell asked.
“The water’s gone?” Malinowski responded, referring to the storm surge that had receded. O’Donnell confirmed, “Yeah, it’s going out… You hang in there.”
Malinowski appeared to have weathered the storm relatively unscathed, saying the hurricane wasn’t as bad as he had anticipated. His story quickly gained traction online, with many marveling at his resilience — and his risky decision to remain on the boat.
