The mysterious monolith that appeared out of nowhere in various countries and several US states during the COVID-19 pandemic have reappeared. Over the weekend, another mirrored structure was seen near Las Vegas, according to the police.

‘MYSTERIOUS MONOLITH!’

Similar 10-foot-tall, Toblerone-shaped steel monoliths were previously found in the US states of Utah, New Mexico, and California, as well as in the United Kingdom and Romania in 2020.

This time, the reflective metal structure was discovered at Gass Peak, 64 kilometers north of Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) reported the discovery on Monday, (Jun 17) in a post on X.

“MYSTERIOUS MONOLITH! We see a lot of weird things when people go hiking, like not being prepared for the weather, not bringing enough water… but check this out! Over the weekend, @LVMPDSAR spotted this mysterious monolith near Gass Peak north of the valley,” the police stated.

The LA police also used the discovery post to remind everyone about hiking safety tips.

According to media reports, the structure was spotted by the Las Vegas Metro Search and Rescue team in a desert hiking area an hour north of Sin City.

Aliens? An elaborate prank?

The series of discoveries beginning in 2020 has led to numerous conspiracy theories involving aliens, while others believe it could be a highly coordinated and elaborate prank.

The first monolith was accidentally discovered by wildlife officials counting bighorn sheep from a helicopter in a desert in Utah. The structure vanished mysteriously less than 10 days later.

The most recent monolith was found on a hill in Wales, United Kingdom, in March, leaving locals in the Hay-on-Wye region puzzled.

Over the years, each monolith discovered, mostly in the US and the UK, was between 10 and 12 feet tall, appeared suddenly, and disappeared just as mysteriously.
