Brazilian gypsy and parapsychologist Athos Salomé, often referred to as the “New Nostradamus,” claims to have successfully predicted several significant global events. Salomé is a self-proclaimed paranormal expert and fortune teller. He says he foresaw the coronavirus pandemic, Elon Musk’s acquisition of X (formerly Twitter), and Queen Elizabeth II’s passing. Despite skepticism, Salomé continues to assert the accuracy of his predictions, offering several recent examples.
Prediction about Apophis Asteroid
Salomé has also made claims about the Apophis asteroid, dubbed the “God of Chaos,” which is expected to pass close to Earth in 2029. He predicted that NASA would announce in September 2024 that the asteroid might enter a collision course with Earth by November. While current scientific estimates suggest the asteroid is unlikely to hit Earth, there remains a slim chance it could change trajectory, with definitive knowledge expected by 2027.
Microsoft outage and Paris Olympics cyberattack
Another one of his predictions involved the mass Microsoft outage, which he warned could escalate global tensions and potentially lead to cyber warfare. He also predicted a cyberattack on the 2024 Paris Olympics, warning that such events make attractive targets for attacks that could “cripple nations” and spark international conflicts.
Typhoon Yagi
Salomé also claims to have predicted the devastating effects of Typhoon Yagi, which caused landslides and floods in Vietnam in 2024, leaving at least 254 dead and 82 missing.
Though his predictions are subject to debate, Salomé has garnered a following that believes in his ability to foresee future events.
