Miami rapper Krissy Celess films terrifying encounter after dispute over directions
A shocking video circulating online shows an Uber driver drawing a firearm on Miami rapper Krissy Celess and her friend during what began as a routine rideshare trip. The alarming confrontation, which has prompted both a police investigation and potential legal action, reportedly escalated from a disagreement over driving directions.
According to reports, the incident began when Celess, also known professionally as “Bomb Ass Krissy,” suggested a turn to the Uber driver. The situation quickly deteriorated as the driver allegedly became increasingly agitated. When Celess reportedly commented on the driver’s “crazy eyes,” the confrontation reached a dangerous climax with the driver pulling out a gun and pointing it directly at the passengers in the backseat.
Captured on camera
The rapper documented the frightening encounter and shared the footage on her Instagram account. In the video, the driver can be heard demanding, “Get out of my vehicle now. You’re no longer on the ride. Get out,” while simultaneously calling 911. Celess believes her remark about the driver’s eyes triggered the extreme reaction that led to the weapon being brandished.
Legal action planned
Following the incident, Celess and her friend have indicated they intend to sue Uber over the encounter.
“I would argue that the Uber driver was extremely aggressive, and the reaction of pulling a gun was extremely excessive. You know, emotions can sometimes spur out of control because of a simple disagreement, but those disagreements do not necessitate a firearm to be pointed at you,” stated attorney Carlos Dominguez, who is representing both passengers.
Uber’s response
Uber has issued a brief statement acknowledging the incident: “This is concerning, and we’re so sorry this happened.” The company has confirmed that the driver has been removed from their platform and that they are cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation.
The rideshare company’s guidelines explicitly prohibit drivers from carrying firearms while operating on the Uber platform.
The Hollywood Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
