Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, admitted to “leaning away” from incumbent President Joe Biden, just days after stressing that he has no intention of sponsoring any of the presidential races. Musk made the remarks on an unaired first episode of “The Don Lemon Show,” when the former CNN host questioned the billionaire about his previous meeting with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. The X owner informed Lemon that his meeting with the 45th president occurred as he was enjoying “breakfast at a friend’s place and Donald Trump came by” and “he did most of the talking”.

On being asked if Trump sought cash infusion during the meeting, Musk said “no”, adding that he would not donate money to Trump’s campaign or pay his legal bills. Lemon then interrogated, “Are you leaning towards anyone?” “No,” Musk said before the host asked, “You’re not leaning toward anyone? Because you’ve been very….” “I’m leaning away from Biden,” the X owner replied with a laugh.

Trump and Musk met in Palm Beach, Florida

Last week, Trump and Musk met in Palm Beach, Florida. According to the New York Times, the two engaged in a lengthy debate about electric automobiles and rockets. During an appearance on CNBC’s ‘Squawk Box’ on Monday, Trump confirmed meeting with him but said he didn’t know if the world’s second-richest man’ would back him. The ex-president emphasized that he personally loves Musk, but they are “not on the same page” when it comes to “a minor subject called electric cars.” Previously, the Tesla CEO stated that he would support Biden over Trump in the 2020 elections.

Elon Musk abruptly cancelled “The Don Lemon Show” hours after sitting down for an interview with the former CNN host, which was scheduled to be his first episode on the platform. Lemon recorded his talk with Musk on Friday. “Elon Musk has canceled the partnership I had with X,” Lemon said in a statement published on Wednesday. “There were no constraints on the interview, which he voluntarily agreed to, and my questions were respectful and diverse, spanning from SpaceX to the presidential election. We had a good talk. “He felt differently.”

Musk responded to Lemon’s statement following his Tesla plant visit in Germany. “His approach was just ‘CNN, but on social media,’ which doesn’t work, as evidenced by the fact that CNN is dying,” he said in a tweet. Later, Lemon made his first appearance on CNN since his resignation last year, telling host Erin Burnett that his conversation with Musk was “tense at times” and that the X owner’s comments about free speech were “just talking points.” He revealed that the Musk interview will be broadcast on YouTube and as a podcast on Monday. During the 2022 midterm elections, Musk pushed Americans to elect a Republican Congress to balance Biden’s Democrats. He also claimed that Biden encourages migrants to enter the US in a bid to gain votes for Democrats.
