YourFellowArab, an American YouTuber and Twitch star, has been kidnapped in Haiti. He was attempting to interview gang leader Jimmy ‘Barbecue’ Cherizier when he was allegedly captured by the 400 Mawozo gang.
According to local sources, he was held near Croix-des-Bouquets. Joseph Wilson, also known as Lanmo San Jou, meaning “death has no appointed time” is the gang’s ringleader.
The organization previously kidnapped 16 American missionaries and one Canadian in 2021. He had threatened to kill the hostages while dressed as Baron Samdi, a spirit of the dead in Haitian Vodou.

YourFellowArab, whose actual name is Addison Pierre Maalouf, was visiting Delmas 6, a district in Port-au-Prince, to interview Barbecue when he was captured on March 14.
Gangsters from 400 Mawozo are claimed to have followed direct commands from their boss. Interestingly, despite being rivals in the past, 400 Mawozo has reportedly joined the gang coalition led by Barbecue.
His kidnappers are demanding $600,000 (£475,000) in ransom for his release, according to local news outlet Haiti24. It was reported that £31,700 ($40,000) had already been paid.
Addison, who makes gang-related videos for his YouTube channel, has previously visited dangerous areas, such as Rio de Janeiro’s favelas, where he met gun-toting gangsters.
