Brad Pitt Open To Working With Tom Cruise Again—But Only Under One Condition

The Hollywood stars haven’t shared screen space since their 1994 cult film

Brad Pitt has expressed his willingness to reunite with Tom Cruise on the big screen, but with a notable caveat. The two megastars last appeared together in the 1994 gothic horror drama “Interview with the Vampire” and haven’t collaborated on a project since.

Pitt jokes about Cruise’s daredevil stunts

Speaking to E! News at the Mexican premiere of his upcoming film F1, Pitt said he’s open to sharing screen space with Cruise again—so long as he’s not expected to pull off any gravity-defying stunts.

“Well, I’m not gonna hang my a** off airplanes and sh*t like that,” Pitt said with a laugh when asked about working with Tom Cruise again.
“So when he does something again that’s on the ground, [then yes],” he added.

Cruise has become known for executing dangerous stunts himself in action films, most famously hanging from planes and leaping across skyscrapers without a stunt double.

Pitt’s ‘F1’ film comes from Cruise’s creative collaborators

Pitt’s upcoming film F1 is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer—the same creative team behind Cruise’s massive 2022 hit Top Gun: Maverick, which grossed $1.4 billion globally.

Interestingly, Kosinski revealed in a recent interview with GQ that he once planned to reunite Tom Cruise and Pitt for his own take on Ford v Ferrari. However, the project never materialized due to budget constraints, and James Mangold ultimately directed the version that starred Christian Bale and Matt Damon.

“Tom always pushes it to the limit, but at the same time is super capable and very skilled,” Kosinski said when asked about the possibility of Tom Cruise headlining F1 instead of Pitt.

While fans may still have to wait for a potential on-screen reunion, Pitt’s comments suggest the door isn’t entirely closed—provided he gets to keep both feet on the ground.
