Ed Sheeran and his wife announced the birth of their second daughter. They shared the news via an Instagram post. The news comes as a pleasant surprise to the fans because the pregnancy was kept under the wraps.
Posting the picture of tiny baby socks, Ed captioned it, “want to let you all know we`ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x.” This is similar to the post he had uploaded on the birth of his first daughter. The couple delivered the first baby, Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, in September 2020.
Ed Sheeran to spend some time with baby before heading back to the tour
According to Ed’s representative, the artist will spend a bit of time with his infant daughter before resuming the tour. The representative told The Sun, “Ed and Cherry recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl and are on cloud nine. They’re so excited for Lyra to have a little sister and the four of them are currently enjoying some precious family time before Ed heads back on tour. We are delighted for them, and we hope that you can respect their privacy at this special time.”
Ed Sheeran and Cherry were childhood friends and high school classmates. They lost contact for a while. However, Ed claimed in a candid interview with People that they got back in touch in 2015 at singer Taylor Swift‘s Fourth of July celebration. They began dating in 2015 and married in January 2019.
