A Canadian whistleblower from Vitalité is warning of a new mystery disease. According to him, the disease is mainly targeting youngsters and causing a fast cognitive decline. Here’s all about it.
What is the new mysterious disease?
A mysterious illness emerged in New Brunswick, a Canadian province. According to an anonymous whistleblower from the Vitalité health network, the illness is targeting young people. The news comes following Havana syndrome and a mysterious illness in Sudan. This illness was first announced in 2021. Since then, only 58 cases have come to light. However, some sources claim that as many as 150 people could be infected.
The mysterious disease was seen in young adults with no previous health impurities. Youngsters show a series of health issues such as fast weight loss, hallucinations, limited mobility, trouble thinking, and insomnia. “I’m truly concerned about these cases because they seem to evolve so fast. I’m worried for them and we owe them some kind of explanation,” said a source to The Guardian.
What is causing the illness in young adults?
The exact origins of the illness are currently unclear. However, a detailed study of the symptoms reveals that it may be a result of environmental factors. One of the suspected cases was a man developing symptoms of ataxia and dementia. Soon his wife started losing sleep and began experiencing dementia, hallucinations, and muscle wasting. Another suspected case showed how a man dropped about 60 pounds suddenly and began developing insomnia and hallucinations. His brain imaging studies revealed progressed signs of atrophy.
“This is not a New Brunswick disease. We’re probably the area that is raising the flag because we’re mostly rural and in an area where people might have more exposure to environmental factors,” explained the whistleblower. He also claimed that he came forward due to growing concerns.
