Sydney Sweeney is once again shutting down speculation about her body. The actor denied ever undergoing breast augmentation while taking a lie detector test with her “Housemaid” co-star Amanda Seyfried in a new Vanity Fair segment released Thursday.
What Sydney Sweeney Said During the Test
Seyfried began the exchange by asking the question that has followed Sweeney throughout her career: “Are your boobs real?”
“Yes,” Sweeney replied with a laugh. “I’ve never gotten any work done anywhere.”
The proctor overseeing the test confirmed she was telling the truth. Seyfried then joked, “Can I touch ’em?” prompting a playful “Sure” from Sweeney.
The moment quickly went viral, echoing years of online debate about the actor’s changing appearance.
Sydney Sweeney Has Denied Plastic Surgery Multiple Times This Week
This is the second time in a matter of days that Sweeney has publicly debunked rumors about cosmetic procedures. Earlier this week, she told Allure that her appearance has been scrutinised unfairly, in part because people compare her to childhood photos.
“Let’s debunk them all,” she said. “I mean, I have never gotten work done… I am so scared of needles, you have no idea.”
Sweeney added that the idea that she looks dramatically different ignores the simple passage of time. “Of course, I’m going to look different. I have makeup on now, and I’m 15 years older.”
She also confirmed that she does not have any tattoos.
The Actor Says She Plans to Age Naturally
In an interview with Variety in October, the “White Lotus” star discussed her desire to age “gracefully,” saying she does not intend to rely on procedures to maintain her appearance.
Sydney Sweeney, now 28, has long spoken about the pressures of public scrutiny and the assumptions audiences make based on the characters she plays.
Sweeney on Being Labelled a Sex Symbol
The actor said that fans often project her on-screen personas onto her real-life identity.
“So when people think, ‘Ah, she’s a sex symbol,’ or ‘She’s leaning into that,’ I’m like, ‘No, I just feel goo,d and I’m doing it for myself, and I feel strong,’” she said.
She added that her goal is to encourage confidence in others. “I want to inspire other women to be confident and just flaunt what they got.”
